..... Bringing new life into arid lands
DISTANCE CHILDREN SUPPORT why?
The exploitation of children due to poverty is real in India and in other countries.
Families often take on debt to survive and are sometimes forced to "surrender" their children to redeem the debt. You can see what the child have to suffer in this video. Please do not remain indifferent. Your little help can make a difference in HELPING THEM!
Thanks to the help of many supporters, even in the Amalapuram slum, where the I Have a Dream project started, we were able to distribute food.
WELL DRILLING PROJECTS
According to experts, the availability of drinking water per capita in India will experience a drastic decline over the next 15 years.
A recent study is predicting that India could reach a stressful state even before 2025, while even now, the local population barely has enough water to survive.
In India, it is estimated that 150 liters of water are necessary per person in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle; however, there are parts of the country where the daily consumption of water is calculated to be only 72 liters per capita.
We have personally visited several areas where people are using water that the rest of the world would only use for agricultural purposes, if at all.
The need for clean, fresh water is EXTREMLY URGENT and we have taken immediate action to supply this need by drilling wells in many different locations to supply water to thousands of families and thus prevent the out-break of terrible epidemics.
For several years now, we have been carrying on a very important project in India called “WATER FOR THE THIRSTY”.
Unfortunately, villagers are forced to drink water from the rivers that is so dirty and polluted that those who drink it run the risk of contracting diseases and infections.
Animals bathe, urinate and defecate in the water of those rivers, which locals are also drinking and using to wash their clothes.
Several die every year from diseases.
We are drilling water wells in many Indian villages on the banks of these rivers to give as many people as possible the opportunity to drink clean water.
Today, 400 euros are enough to dig one well.
Hundreds of families can thus enjoy this basic commodity which is so valuable and essential to life.
If you want, you too can help us to fund the construction of a new well and give clean water to eve more families.
BUILD HOME PROJECTS
India is currently the second most populated country in the world, with a population of over 1.15 billion.
By the year 2030, demographers expect the population of India will surpass China’s, which currently ranks first.
According to UN-Habitat, India has 63% of all people living in the slums of the entire South Asia, which amounts to 170 million people, representing 17% of the inhabitants of slums worldwide.
The situation of the homeless in India is tremendously precarious!
In the past 25 years, Christian Life Relief International, with the help of many supporters from various parts of the world, has built brick-wall homes for the poorest families in India at the cost of just € 3,200 per home.
It truly is a touching experience to see the gratitude of these people when they receive the gift of a home, and I in turn am deeply grateful to everyone who by making a donation in an act of real love helps us to improve the living condition of our Indian brothers and sisters.
